Phone charging, once an annoying ritual that took seemingly forever, is now much less of a hassle. Most new phones charge from 0-100 percent in less than two hours, but China's Oppo has been pushing that even further. Last year it released a smartphone with 65W charging that can be fully charged in under 30 minutes

Now, Oppo is back with new improvements. The company said it would launch 125W charging on July 15, and shared a short teaser on Twitter.

No further details have been shared, but Oppo isn't the only company working on super-fast charging. China's iQOO (a sub-brand of smartphone maker Vivo) has announced new 120W-charging tech that can fully charge a phone with a 4,000mAh battery in 15 minutes. Read more...
