This is my first(and probably last) website

It's been roughly two years since I wrote my first ever piece of code. The legendary Hello, world! program. Things changed quite dramatically since then. I started analyzing big data, wrote my very first machine learning model that can break ANY captcha.

I always liked to experiment with new things. About one year ago, I wrote my first ever HTML code, aka Hello, world website. I only figured out one thing.

Web development and design are not for me!

To be honest, if you give me two options whether

  1. Become web dev or
  2. Feed a lion

I will choose option 2. But there is one famous quote and probably my favorite

Life is all about a second chance

So, I gave web development another spin, and here is the result.

MY FIRST WEBSITE

Let's walk through it.

1. The index page

When you first visit the site, you will end up on the index page which looks something like this.

Looks decent, but a closer look will tell you that there is no favicon. Moreover, the site has an AWFUL color scheme.

Keeping the odds aside, you scrolled a bit down and found two gigantic buttons that link to the rest of the two pages of the website.

So far so good. However, if you are reading this post on your mobile phone or a device with a small screen, you have probably noticed that the webpage isn't responsive AT ALL!

Moreover, the icons aren't lined up well.

2. The search page

As the name suggests, you search for movies on this page.

Alt Text

Wait for a second! Why is the footer not in the footer but in the header section? God knows...

And what is that big ugly red bar doing in the middle? To be honest, I DON'T KNOW!

Even, the Search button isn't lining up with the search bar properly. AND DON'T YOU DARE TO RESIZE THE SCREEN.

So, you typed something and pressed enter to see the search result. But it didn't work? You need to press the ugly search button for that.

Even, the search result doesn't fit properly in one single page. Wouldn't it be great to have a 20:80 ratio for the image and the table?

3. The random page

Last but not the least, you pressed the mysterious random button. And then appeared this mysterious page.

Alt Text

Why does this page have two rando! buttons instead of one? Well, that's a mystery too . And like always, the footer doesn't like to stay in the bottom so he came a bit up. The page doesn't have a proper title also.

So, you proved how brave you are and pressed the rando! button.

Fortune favors the brave

Clicking that button will randomly suggest 20 movies from any category and from any release date. Probably the only useful feature in the whole website.

So, here is a million-dollar question to you all,

Do you think I still deserve to write more websites?
