Columbus statue trips, falls into lake

A statue of Christopher Columbus, the slaver, pimp and arriviste who first colonized the Americas, fell and tripped into a Virginia lake last night. Another was beheaded in Boston.

A Christopher Columbus statue has been pulled down, set on fire and thrown in a lake by protesters in Virginia on Tuesday. The monument was toppled less than two hours after demonstrators gathered in Richmond's Byrd Park and chanted for the statue to go
