Congress is hearing testimony today, Thursday morning, from the former U.S. vaccine director Dr. Rick Bright who says he was fired for opposing the Trump administration's Covid-19 response.

The Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health hearing Protecting Scientific Integrity in the COVID-19 Response with Dr. Rick Bright, the ousted Director of the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority, is now taking place on Capitol Hill.

Bright is expected to warn Congress of 'grave risks' associated with Trump's push to 'reopen the economy,' before it is safe.

Bright objected to use of the malaria drug hydroxychloroquine promoted by President Trump.
