Ditch your window air conditioning unit for a portable one

It's heating up outside, but we'll still have to spend the majority of our time indoors for a bit longer. If you live alone and don't have central air conditioning, now might not be the best time to attempt to put in a window AC unit by yourself. We all saw what happened to Chidi in The Good Place.

Instead of trying to finagle a massive window unit into place, opt for a portable air conditioner — at least for the time being. While portable air conditioning units are easier to install and can be repositioned where you want them in the room, they do have a pretty unsightly ventilation tube that has to be connected to your window. The units also have to sit on the floor or some other surface, so keep that in mind if you're pressed for space.  Read more...
