The new Xbox and PS4 will probably require a new TV &8212;&160;these are on sale

If you're planning on smashing that "place order" button the second the PS5 or Xbox Series X comes out, you should know that you have another purchase to consider before that: a new TV.

Polygon recently did a deep dive into the specs of the new gaming consoles (at least, what the public knows about them so far) and found that both are targeting 4K hard. Microsoft annouced that the Xbox Series X will rock 12 teraflops of graphics performance (double than that of the One X) and Sony said that 8K outputs were on the table for the PS5.
