The best store for Black Friday TV deals this year is pretty surprising

"TVs" and "Black Friday" go together like cats and broken tree ornaments.

But purchasing a TV on Black Friday isn't as much of a no-brainer as you think. Actually, BestBlackFriday.com suggests that you wait until that ~big football game~ to cop a new TV. Not only are retailers going after sports fans who decided at the last-minute that they need a 75-inch TV, but January is typically when TV brands launch their new models and last year's models go on sale.

Black Friday TV deals can obviously still be killer, with TVs marked down by as much as 50% off. But keep an eye on model numbers: Some brands will create special TV models specifically for Black Friday (called derivatives). These models, which are sold in very limited quantities, are nearly identical to the "real" version of a TV but lack a few key features in order to drain the price for Black Friday shoppers.
