HBO is giving away big cardboard boxes for your next TV fort

There are plenty of things that baffle me about American culture, none more so than the tradition of having to share a room with a stranger when you go away to college. If you’re currently suffering through exactly that, then HBO has a promotional product for you.

It’s called the HBO Box, and as far as I can tell, it’s basically a big black cardboard box with air holes and a couple of cutouts to stick your legs through. The idea is that you lie back on your bed with the upper half of your body encased in the box, leaving you free to watch whatever you want on your phone without having to worry about your roommate being able to peer over your shoulder.
