Report says Apple increasing iPhone 11 production after strong demand

It looks like Apple's iPhone 11 range of phones is selling better than expected. 

According to Nikkei Asian Review, which cites a source with knowledge of the situation, Apple told its suppliers to increase the production of its iPhone 11 range by up to 10%, which is around 8 million units. The outlet claims that Apple made the decision after strong demand for the new iPhones from buyers. 

"Previously, Apple was quite conservative about placing orders. After the increase, prepared production volume for the iPhone 11 series will be higher compared to last year," Nikkei's source said.

The outlet claims the cheaper models — iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro — are driving the increased demand, while the iPhone 11 Pro Max is selling slightly worse than expected, with Apple revising orders down a little bit.  Read more...
