Apple finally streamed its big event on YouTube. Here's how many people watched.

For the first time in its history, Apple livestreamed its annual iPhone event on YouTube. Google’s video giant, unlike Apple’s own livestream, publicly displays a live-updating viewer count.

So, how many people watch the first Apple event livestream on YouTube?

When Apple CEO Tim Cook hit the stage at the beginning of the event, the stream was at around 800,000 concurrent viewers. The viewer count continue to grow in number, but hovered between 1.7 and 1.8 million concurrent viewers throughout the big iPhone 11 product announcement. The streams peak was around 1.86 million viewers at the beginning of the iPhone 11 Pro unveiling but dropped back down to around 1.7 million during the rest of the announcement. Read more...
