The Mac mini is back with a much needed update

The Mac mini is back, baby. 

The much-loved desktop computer just had some new life breathed into it at the Oct. 30 Apple special event in Brooklyn. It's been four years since the company released an update, and one was starting to feel a little overdue. Well, you need wait no more. 

Tim Cook introduced the update to the "small, but mighty" computer, but senior director of Mac hardware product marketing Tom Boger gave us the highlights. Specifically, all flash storage, up to 64 GB memory, 5 times faster performance when compared to the previous mini, 4 or 6 cores, a host of ports (including an ethernet port), and a Space Gray finish.  Read more...
