Cosby judge rules him a "sexually violent predator" in prelude to sentencing

A judge will announce Bill Cosby's fate in one hour (UPDATE: they're late), but has already declared the disgraced entertainer a "sexually violent predator" in this morning's sentencing hearing, dooming him to the sex offenders' registry and lifetime observation.

Judge Steven ONeill says hell announce the sentence in court at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Prosecutors are asking for five to 10 years in prison. The defense wants house arrest, but District Attorney Kevin Steele says the sentencing rules dont allow it.

A jury convicted Cosby of drugging and molesting a woman at his suburban Philadelphia home. Cosby was convicted after the first celebrity trial of the #MeToo era.

Dozens of American colleges lined up to offer me basketball scholarships, and I chose the University of Arizona.For four years, I was a shooting guard on the women's basketball team, scoring up to 30 points a game. It was an amazing time in my life, and I learned a lot, developed a circle of really good friends, many of them teammates, and traveled around the US to compete.
