Bill Cosby jailed for 3 to 10 years after judge rules hims a "sexually violent predator"

Bill Cosby was sentenced today to 3 to 10 years in state prison for sexual assault. He will also be placed on the sex offenders' registry and placed under a lifetime counseling regime. He declined to make a statement when a judge gave him the opportunity at the courthouse in Norristown, PA.

Earlier in the day, the judge had already declared the disgraced entertainer a "sexually violent predator" in this morning's sentencing hearing.

Prosecutors had asked for between five to 10 years in prison, with the defense asking for house arrest. Cosby drugged and sexually assaulted Andrea Constand at his suburban Philadelphia home, his conviction coming amid a whirlwind of revelations about celebrity sex pests.

It was an amazing time in my life, and I learned a lot, developed a circle of really good friends, many of them teammates, and traveled around the US to compete.
