A fraudulent Cuphead game briefly appeared in the App Store

Apple recently allowed a fraudulent $4.99 Cuphead app to appear in the App Store.  

The mobile gaming site Touch Arcade first spotted the fake app and reported its existence as a "surprise" iOS launch. However, Cuphead's developer, Studio MDHR, later announced on Twitter that the iOS app was an "impostor." The real game is still only available on Microsoft Windows and Xbox consoles. 

There is a Cuphead imposter app on the iOS store — this is a scam. We are working on removing the fraudulent app ASAP!
