License plate made from a pizza box doesn't fool police

Sharp eyed Massachusetts police officers spotted a man driving a car with a strange-looking license plate. After pulling him over for a closer look, they discovered the license plate was made from a cardboard pizza box and magic marker handwriting.

From the Hopkinton, Massachusetts Police Department Facebook page:

Here's a little advice to those aspiring to make their own license plates...

  1. Don't.
  2. But if you do, make sure not to use cardboard from a pizza box and magic markers
  3. .

Charges for this creative operator include operating an uninsured and unregistered vehicle and attaching "fake home made" plates.

This reminds me of Cory's post in 2004 about a hustler who made a fake Apple PowerBook with a logo painted with Wite-Out, hoping someone would be fooled into buying it.
