College installs facial recognition to make sure students don't get friends to sign in for them

Time to start hauling ass to class.

One university in China is using facial recognition technology to keep track of students' attendance.

According to news outlet the China Daily, more than 300 students in the Communications University of China now have to stand in front of a tablet, which will match their likeness with records in the university's database.
