Someone built an electric bike for water

Manta5, a New Zealand-based company, redefines cycling with a newly invented hydrofoil e-bike, called Hydrofoiler XE-1. This bike is designed to glide across any body of water, including lakes, rivers, and the ocean.

The bike is pedal-electric and comes with a 400w motor to amplify pedaling. Its coolest feature is its ability to perform submerged launches, so you don't have to worry if you fall off the bike in the middle of the ocean. Read more...
