Steve Wozniak won't be getting an iPhone X on launch day

Steve Wozniak, the legendary coder who developed the first Apple computers, won't rush to get the much anticipated iPhone X.

Although "The Woz" typically picks up the latest Apple handset right away, the Apple co-founder told CNBC at the Money 20/20 tech and business conference that he's going to sit this one out — for now.

"I'd rather wait and watch that one," Wozniak said. "I'm happy with my iPhone 8 — which is the same as the iPhone 7, which is the same as the iPhone 6, to me. For some reason, the iPhone X is going to be the first iPhone I didn't — on day one — upgrade to."
