The LG V30 will have a huge, 6-inch OLED screen

Unlike most smartphone makers, LG doesn't exactly keep the details about upcoming phones under wraps. Instead, the company slowly releases info on the devices' key features in the weeks ahead of the launch, and this is exactly how it's treating the upcoming V30 flagship. 

The V30 is due to officially be unveiled August 31, ahead of the IFA trade show in Berlin. On Thursday, LG announced that the phone will come with a 6-inch, near bezel-less OLED screen with a 2,880x1,440 (that's an 18:9, or 2:1 ratio) pixel resolution. 

While LG doesn't outright mention the name V30 in its press release, it does say the screen will be a part of its "next flagship smartphone," and then goes on to compare it with the last year's V20.  Read more...
