Alexa just got some long-awaited new skills to help you keep track of your life

Alexa is getting some new skills that will finally help you keep track of all of your responsibilities during the day.

Amazon just announced its AI assistant Alexa will now be able to recognize commands to set reminders and named timers. That means Amazon Echo owners can now depend on Alexa to keep them from forgetting about their daily errands — which, if we're going to be honest, should probably have been a major feature from Day One.

The voice-enabled reminders are simple to set up.

To set a reminder, just tell Alexa what you need to do and when, and she'll take note. So if you say, "Alexa, remind me to stop making covfefe jokes in 10 minutes," your trusty AI helper will flash blue and alert you via voice command that maybe, after you've had the chance to craft one last masterpiece zinger, it might be time to retire covfefe jokes.  Read more...
