Republican Tennessee lawmakers introduce bill to make children born through artificial insemination "illegitimate"

Senator Joey Hensley (R-Hohenwald) ([email protected]/(615) 741-3100) and Rep Terry Lynn Weaver (R-Lancaster) ((615) 741-2192) have introduced legislation to amend TCA 68-3-306 (which "provides for the child to be considered the legitimate child of a husband and wife if the child is born through artificial insemination and with the consent of the husband") with a bill would make such children "illegitimate."
