The government wants to block your mobile phone signal while you’re driving

Tempted to make a phone call while driving? Well, in the near future you won't even be able to use your phone behind the wheel — at least in Britain.

A new technology to block mobile signal for drivers is being considered by the Department of Transport to crack down on motorists who use their phone. 

Plans for an exploratory meeting with network providers and handset manufacturers in the new year to discuss the technology are being finalised, Mashable understands.
