Oh, cool. Facebook is saying we're all dead

Many living Facebook users were "memorialized" Friday afternoon, meaning the social network claimed they were dead.

You just can't make this stuff up.

It's unclear why this happened, but the issue affected a variety of users — including the author of this post:

"We hope people who love Damon will find comfort in the things others share to remember and celebrate his life," a new header said at the top of my profile page, and several others that I checked.
