The humidity in Miami hits like a freight train the second you step out of the airport

For Jill Emmer, a photographer on a city-sleuthing mission to document the city through the lens of the Huawei Honor 8 smartphone, though, the heat is more welcoming than oppressive.

“Miami is an incredible place for photography,” she says, her Minnesotan accent betraying her tourist status, refreshingly quirky amid the Cuban-tinged Spanglish of South Beach. “Every building is eye candy. The bright colors are amazing,” she adds.

Truthfully, it’s hard to envision a place better suited for a photography-based adventure: the palm trees sway enticingly in the ocean breeze and the people-watching is hard to beat. The air itself exudes Miami spice.  Read more...
