Apple TV gets new 'TV' app to make it easier to discover shows

Apple's big event on Thursday was rumored to be mainly focused on Macs, but the Apple TV got a little love, too.

Apple announced a new app for its media streaming box called "TV" designed to make it easier for users to find and watch content without the need to manually dig into different apps. It's basically a TV guide.

The app will essentially provide shortcuts to TV shows and movies to other content apps in one centralized app hub. 

"We want Apple TV to be the one place to access all of your television," Apple Tim Cook said. "A unified TV experience that's one place to discover great new content to watch." Read more...
