Google will make it easy for Airtel, Vodafone users in India to buy paid apps with carrier billing

Google will make it easier for more people in India to purchase apps, music and other items from it Google Play store. The company today revealed that it will be bringing carrier billing option to two of India’s largest telecom operators.

At its Google Playtime developer event in Gurgaon, Kunal Soni, head of business development at Google Play, said the company will be bringing carrier billing to Airtel and Vodafone, according to one developer who attended the event. The two carriers have over 300 million subscribers between them. As of now, only Idea subscribers in India have carrier billing optionMashable India has reached out to Google India for comment.
