Facebook helps you show your love on the International Day of Peace

The world's largest social network is turning its attention to the International Day of Peace.

Facebook just unveiled a new feature for the occasion, which first started 35 years ago. When you use the "Love" reaction on Facebook Wednesday, the heart will come to life, displaying a message of thanks for showing love on the social network.

International Day of Peace has a long history. In a resolution by the U.N.'s general Assembly in 1981, it was decided that Sept. 21st would be a day of "commemorating and strengthening the ideals of peace both within and among all nations and peoples." Read more...
