Sony's 2nd-gen e-paper watch is tougher, but still Japan-only

BERLIN — Sony's still hammering away at its e-paper watch.

The second-generation watch is called the FES (by Fashion Entertainment Watch) Watch U and it's a more refined than the original model with a more scratch-resistant sapphire glass front.

Like the original e-paper watch, the watch face and the strap can be customized through its flexible e-paper display. The 43mm diameter watch case is 11.8mm thick and made of SUS316L stainless steel.

The FES Watch U connects to iOS, but not Android (Sony's considering adding Android support). 

Because of its e-paper technology, battery life is extremely long, lasting up to three weeks on a single charge. Read more...
