Here's what Apple's $14.5 billion in Irish taxes looks like in Apple products

After an in-depth analysis of Apple, the European Commission found that Ireland gave the company illegal tax benefits worth $14.5 billion (€13 billion).

On Tuesday, after a three-year investigation into Apple's Irish tax affairs, Apple was ordered to pay the €13 billion to the Irish government. The ruling states that the dealings are "illegal under EU state aid rules, because it allowed Apple to pay substantially less tax than other businesses. Ireland must now recover the illegal aid." 

Now, $14.5 billion sounds like a lot of money, but to really put things into perspective, we figured we would break that figure down in terms of popular Apple products. Needless to say, the numbers were awe-inspiring. Read more...
