We try out the latest McDonald's Happy Meal toy: a wearable

A trip to McDonald's is seen by many as a quick way to gain weight, but the fast food giant just rolled out a new promotion that might actually help some people drop a couple of pounds. 

In the latest version of the classic Happy Meal, the food chain is replacing the usual toy treat with something far more useful: a pedometer.

The piece of wearable tech is designed to encourage those eating McDonald's Happy Meals (which includes adults as well as children) to be more active. In a promotional video (see below) for the device, which is called the Step-It, two children as shown engaging in a number of activities and games in an effort to rack up more steps.  Read more...
