Tesla's next Model S could have more than 300 miles of range

A Tesla Model S P100D begs the question: What's more Ludicrous than Ludicrous?

Right now, the biggest battery you can get on a Tesla Model S or Model X is a 90-kilowatt-hour pack. Capable of traveling 294 miles on a single charge (in 90D form) or rushing 0 to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds (P90D), it's an impressive offering. However, Tesla could soon make it seem antiquated.

Dutch blog Kentenken uncovered that officials in the Netherlands have approved Tesla for 100, 100D and P100D variants based upon a new but long-rumored 100-kWh battery pack option.
