'Cyberattack' takes down Australian census website

People choosing Jedi as their religion is not the biggest issue of the Australian census.

This year being 2016, the government decided to go paperless for the census. It could have been a seamless transition to the digital world, but everything has gone wrong. The site didn't work on Tuesday night, causing the hashtag #CensusFail to trend on Twitter.

On Wednesday morning, the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) tweeted that the entire census website had been compromised on Tuesday in four targeted attacks. Read more...
