This personal holographic display could soon be yours
Volume is a new kind of 3D display.
It was created by Looking Glass, a company based in Brooklyn and Hong Kong. The volumetric display uses a projector and a series of transparent slices to create images in three-dimensional space, a technology Looking Glass calls "lightfolding."
It's currently being shown off atFridman Gallery in New York City, in a show featuring various artists.
Looking Glass plans to offer pre-orders of a consumer device in September 2016.
Gameplay can be seen from the front and rear of the display.
