Saudi prince spent more than $5 million on two super-rare Bugattis

The new Bugatti Chiron isn't even on sale yet. And the car that the ultra-luxury French brand used to tease it, the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo, wasn't ever intended for sale. Despite that, though, both the Chiron prototype and the one-of-one Vision were auctioned off to a Saudi prince for over $5 million.

Prince Badr bin Saud of Saudi Arabia posted two pictures taken by photographer GFWilliams to his Instagram account of the Bugatti prototypes, showing off his two new (presumably) prize possessions.

Since both of these cars were built for show rather than sale, it's unclear if they run and drive. Sometimes, carmakers do get prototypes up and running. Other times, they don't. Read more...
