Chevy's new Camaro ZL1 just got an impressive horsepower bump

We love the multi-talented Camaro SS, even with its paltry 455-horsepower rating. And we've been very much been looking forward to driving its higher performance brother, the Camaro ZL1.

When it was unveiled in March, Chevy said it produced 640 horsepower, which is most certainly a mouth-watering amount of American muscle. Turns out, though, it'll make a bit more power than that.

Thanks to the 2017 Camaro order sheet embedded below, discovered by Camaro blog Camaro6, we now know its supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine will produce 650 horsepower (and 650 pound-feet of torque). For those as bad at math as me, that's a 10-pony bump over previous estimates. Read more...
