Stunning timelapse shows solar-powered plane make its way across the world
It has been 16 months since Solar Impulse 2 took off from Abu Dhabi and started its ambitious around-the-world voyage. Now, it's on the verge of completing the circle.
With just one leg left from Egypt to the United Arab Emirates for the solar-powered plane and its pilot, Bertrand Piccard, the Solar Impulse 2 team released a mesmerizing timelapse following it on its journey through 2016 recorded on a GoPro.
