Hoverboard danger still lurks despite recall, CPSC says

On Wednesday, following the widespread recall of hoverboards in the U.S., the head of the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Elliot F. Kaye, issued a stern warning to the public: The hoverboard nightmare still isn't over. 

Although more than half a million hoverboards from popular brands like Swagway and Razor are being recalled, Kaye made it clear that there are still many potentially dangerous hoverboards in homes across the U.S., and urged consumers to act

"If you own a hoverboard, please stop using it immediately and check [the CPSC] website," said Kaye, during a press conference designed to prompt consumers to check the hoverboard recall list now posted on the agency's site. Read more...
