Twitter may cut photos and links from 140-character limit, report says

Here's a bit of good news for Twitter power users: the platform may no longer count photos and links as a part of its 140-character limit

If true, the change would give users on the short-messaging service far more flexibility in sharing out information. 

Twitter itself hasn't announced the change, but a Bloomberg report citing sources close to the matter said the update could go live in the next two weeks. The news comes a few months after CEO Jack Dorsey said Twitter was experimenting with how it displays text on the platform, but later promised the 140-character limit would stay intact. Read more...
