Volvo's in-car delivery service will bring packages to your trunk

Hate having packages left on your doorstep? Well, now some Volvo owners can have deliveries made right to their cars.

Volvo announced Tuesday morning that it has begun in-car deliveries to its customers in Sweden. Rather than utilize a big delivery firm like FedEX, Volvo instead paired with a startup called urb-it.

Here's how the system works. A Volvo owner places an order for an item on an urb-it enabled website. Then, within two hours, one of urb-it's screened and vetted delivery persons goes and picks up the item from the appropriate shop. They then take the item to the Volvo owner's car. Read more...
