Twitter is broken across the world, Facebook taking complaints

Twitter has gone down in parts of the world due to a "technical difficulty."

The social media giant went down at 10:40 p.m. EST on WednesdayMashable confirmed the outage is affecting parts of Australia, Asia, Europe and America. It may also be affecting other regions. 

The website Down Right Now reports the site is experiencing a "likely service disruption," though it does not indicate the regions affected. 

The Twitterati had nowhere to vent their frustration except on Facebook. And they did that in droves. 

Twitter confirmed the outage in a statement emailed to Mashable. "Some users are currently experiencing problems accessing Twitter. We are aware of the issue and are working towards a resolution," a spokesperson said.  Read more...
