LG G5 is extremely easy to tear down, repair
Probably for the first time ever, I can say that I've disassembled a phone faster than the folks at iFixit, whose regular teardowns of gadgets usually come within hours they hit the market.
The phone in case is the LG G5, and I didn't need any tools to do it. At a pre-launch event in Barcelona in February, due to the device's modular design, I removed the G5's bottom half, its battery module, and then tore even that to two pieces before attaching a different, camera-focused module to the phone.
The G5's modularity makes iFixit's detailed teardown, which came out Wednesday, even more interesting. I suspected the G5 would be quite easy to disassemble and repair if need be, and I wasn't wrong. Read more...
