Here's how to stick it to Telstra on its free data day

Once again, poor Australians have been forced to suffer massive Internet outages Thursday thanks to Telstra.

The outage resulted in many customers without data for hours, spreading to services reliant on the Internet such as ATMs, EFTPOS machines and Uber apps. You couldn't get a ride, or you were caught short if you wanted to pay for a beer by card.

Telstra's CEO Andrew Penn apologised to customers on Friday, understanding how many rely on the network's very well-promoted reliability. As part of the apology, the company announced another free data day on April 3, its second after the last outage in February.  Read more...
