'Alexa, how lazy have I been today?' Amazon Echo now works with Fitbit

Continuing its quest to make the Amazon Echo the most central and indispensable part of your smart home, Amazon's smart speaker can now field your Fitbit questions

Fitbit announced on Thursday you can now ask the Echo's voice assistant, Alexa, how many steps you've walked, calories you've burned and how many hours you've slept. On days where you've barely left the house, she'll chime in with feedback like, "You’ve got to start somewhere."

The news comes just a week after Amazon Echo introduced support for Capitol One, the first financial institution to provide account access via the device. In recent months, Amazon has been adding a steady flow of impressive partnerships; you can now order an Uber or a Domino's pizza directly through Alexa, and Echo will also soon support for the Nest Learning Thermostat, the original darling of the smart home.
