Now you can book Uber rides right from Google Maps

Instead of jumping back and forth between apps to figure out your ride and where you want to go, Google is combining the two for your convenience.

Google Maps is adding a new feature to that allows you to look at information for ride services like Uber right in the app. The new tab will look like a little taxi cab silhouette next to the familiar car, public transit, walking and biking options on the directions page.

The new tab is rolling out on Android over the next few days and will be coming soon to iOS, according to a blog post from Google.
