'Silicon Valley' creators have some strong words about the show's diversity

AUSTIN, Texas — The creators of HBO's Silicon Valley had some strong words to describe the tech industry's diversity problem.

Producers Mike Judge and Alec Berg appeared onstage with the Silicon Valley cast Saturday at South by Southwest to discuss the differences between the real Silicon Valley and the version portrayed on the show.

Judge and Berg noted that much of what's portrayed on the show — from "stunning" valuations in the venture capital industry to oddball behavior from tech execs — is true to real life, including the show's lack of diversity. Read more...
