Ferrari's fantastic California T is why people fall in love with cars

Since I was a kid, I have felt that being really into cars is lame. Even as a grown man who now obsesses over cars, and makes his living writing about them, that feeling lingers to this day.

For better or worse, that notion buzzes in the back of my brain every time I review a new car. I reckon it keeps me grounded. Just because the car nerd inside me squeals with delight behind the wheel of the latest and greatest sports car, that doesn't mean that exuberance is universal. Accordingly, I try to not let that cloud my judgement.
