Samsung Galaxy S7 wins without reinvention

The Samsung Galaxy S7 is a modest masterpiece of restraint. While the 5.1-inch flagship smartphone is not a great leap-frog over the technological past, Samsung has pushed nearly every design and software feature a few steps closer to mobile perfection.

It is, without a doubt, the most able iPhone competitor I have ever seen and used, and one of the best Android devices overall.

The design whispers mimicry but is actually very much its own thing. At 5.6 x 2.7 x 0.3 inches (142.4 x 69.6 x 7.9 mm), the Samsung Galaxy S7 is slightly larger in every dimension than Apple’s iPhone 6S, which is officially a 4.7-inch phone. Read more...
