Fake Tesla ad nails the promise of Elon Musk's electric cars

Talk to an owner or fan of the Tesla automobile brand and you'll soon realize that you're talking to someone who believes they're pioneering the future. And they might be right.

If they are right, then their futuristic call to arms may best be represented by a new concept commercial for the Tesla Model S that profiles the car as the last hope of humanity in a dystopian wasteland of gas-guzzling automobiles.

Directed by the Venice, California-based team of twins called the Freise Brothers, the commercial, entitled "Tesla 'Not A Dream,'" includes gas trucks floating powerlessly into the sky as oil rigs smoke in the distance.
