How Samsung's connected fridge is advancing the smart home

LAS VEGAS — The annual Consumer Electronics Show once again ushered in a class of new giant TVs (this year: HDR), cameras (4K, of course) and a few outliers that brought in oooohs and ahhhs (we're looking at you, Faraday Future car).

But one product that created a lot of unexpected buzz was... a fridge. The Samsung Family Hub Refrigerator not only has a giant touchscreen on the front, but it also packs a small camera that lets you to see what's inside while you're at the grocery store.
