Samsung Gear S2 Classic now comes in rose gold and platinum

LAS VEGAS — The Samsung Gear S2 is Samsung’s best smartwatch by far, so it makes sense the company would want to dress it up a little. At CES, Samsung announced it would soon offer the Gear S2 Classic in two new colors: platinum and — you guessed it — rose gold.

The new versions (don’t call them editions) aren’t just a new coat of paint. The watch casing is finished with premium material, either 18-carat rose gold or pure platinum, Samsung says.

Each watch also comes with a trio of watch faces specifically tailored to match the hues of the finish. Samsung’s also offering a slew of new watchbands for the S2, with an ivory leather band crafted to complement the rose-gold watch.
